Here is a recording of the Sunday service at Gencon. Derek brought a message about how the kingdom of God is bigger on the inside. May we all remember that everyone is a freak or a geek to somebody, and they are no less welcome into the kingdom than the rest of us.

Overall, a pretty good, geeky, service.
However, as a “jock” who is also a geek, I take…okay, I really don’t take offense, because I can relate to both sides of the ‘divide’… but I huff and puff as if I took offense to the “jocks are enemies” allusion.
Besides, if you want to see how geeky many jocks are, ask them about their RPG, fantasy football/baseball. I don’t do it myself, too loyal to my favorite teams/players to make a showing…but I have witnessed hours long conversations about stat break-downs and ideal combinations.
